I don&#8217;t like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/2008\/10\/15\/the-heating-game\/\">turning the heat on any sooner than necessary.<\/a>  But it&#8217;s already cold out.  Showing houses that don&#8217;t have the heat turned on is no fun.  Particularly if we&#8217;ve just gotten out of a nice warm car with seat heaters.<\/p>\n<p>Buyers typically won&#8217;t stay long in a house if they&#8217;re cold.  It&#8217;s not very welcoming.  The longer you can get someone to stay in your home, the better chance you have of selling it.<\/p>\n<p>Sellers, if you&#8217;d like buyers to seriously consider your home and linger during the showing, please turn on your heat.  The slightly increased fuel bill and your own enjoyment of a warm house will be worth it in the long run.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m cheap.
