{"id":384,"date":"2008-04-27T18:48:03","date_gmt":"2008-04-27T22:48:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/2008\/04\/27\/a-day-at-the-park\/"},"modified":"2008-04-27T18:48:03","modified_gmt":"2008-04-27T22:48:03","slug":"a-day-at-the-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/2008\/04\/27\/a-day-at-the-park\/","title":{"rendered":"A Day at the Park?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I wish it was a day at the park &#8230;\u00c2\u00a0<strong>but there is no park where I can play with other dogs!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/01-lonely.JPG\" alt=\"Lonely at Home\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hello all, Libby here.\u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m making Kyle write about our exciting trip to West Hartford Center in hopes that you will also support a town dog park.\u00c2\u00a0 The event was organized through the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.westhartforddogpark.org\/\">West Hartford Dog Park Coalition<\/a><\/strong>, and noted by Amy on <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/2008\/04\/25\/fabulous-friday-finds-west-hartford-dog-park-dog-walk-sunday-april-27-at-100pm\/\">Friday<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/02-group.JPG\" alt=\"On the move\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dogs of all sizes, and their people, paraded through the Center to raise awareness.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/03-group.JPG\" alt=\"Socializing\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We were all well behaved, patiently waiting to cross the street.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/04-group.JPG\" alt=\"Behaving\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I had a wonderful time and was <strong>exhausted<\/strong> by the time we got back to the car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/05-exhausted.JPG\" alt=\"Exhausted\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And when we got back to the house I drank a whole bowl of water before taking a little snooze.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/04\/06-thirsty.JPG\" alt=\"Thirsty\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Socializing and meeting new friends is an important part of life. And it is much more difficult without a dog park. <strong>How would you like it if you never got to see anyone face-to-face and had to do all of your correspondence through pee-mail?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s what I thought.
