The lovingly-termed &#8220;Butt Ugly Building&#8221; at the corner of Trumbull and Main Street in Hartford may be seeing its last days.  The Courant reported this morning that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.courant.com\/community\/news\/hfd\/hc-hfdugly0916.artsep16,0,4887927.story\">owner has filed paperwork to have the building demolished.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You probably have seen this eyesore if you&#8217;ve ventured anywhere near Downtown Hartford in the past several years.  Here are the front and back profiles&#8230;<br \/>\n<center><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/None\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/0041.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"0041\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-778\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><br \/>\n<center><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/None\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/001.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"001\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-779\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<\/center><\/p>\n<p>Personally, I would like to see the building <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3E59CbUH_g4\">imploded<\/a>, not demolished.  We could hold a Vegas-style implosion party.<\/p>\n<p>But in all seriousness, it&#8217;s nice to get rid of some blight.  Now, what will they build in its place?
