After walking through one property top to bottom, we were surprised to see a &#8220;meat grinder&#8221; listed in the circuit breaker box in big bold letters &#8230; where was the meat grinder?  And why does a single-family home have such a serious meat grinder that it requires not only a dedicated circuit but also a double breaker?<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Meat-Grinder.png\" alt=\"Meat Grinder\" title=\"Meat Grinder\" width=\"557\" height=\"608\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8807\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Meat-Grinder.png 557w, https:\/\/www.amybergquist.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/Meat-Grinder-274x300.png 274w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 557px) 100vw, 557px\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>It seems that this relatively new home salvaged their electrical box, and the actual circuit breakers, from a commercial building.  There was also a circuit for the &#8220;Xerox next to the elevator&#8221; and other commercial sounding circuits.  Weird.
