Frightening Halloween Fun- 161 Four Mile Road in West Hartford

Some people like Halloween. Lisa Campo, one of my favorite colleagues at William Raveis, LOVES Halloween. For the past 15 years, she’s been setting up intricate, gruesome scenes on her West Hartford lawn. She’ll start early in October, building all of her characters from scratch. By the time Halloween rolls around, she has a veritable haunted house in her front yard.

The magic really happens on Halloween night though, as live actors are added to the mix. Kids from the neighborhood (and from all around town really) eagerly stop by to walk through the scene, trying to guess who’s real and who isn’t. Screams of glee and fright fill the air all night. The parents have a great time too, watching their kids get frightened, although they’re often victims themselves. The ghouls on assignment particularly love to spook the parents as they’re laughing at their kids.

If you’d like to experience Lisa’s haunted lawn tour, please stop by 161 Four Mile Road in West Hartford on Halloween night, after it gets dark. You’ll have a great time, I promise. The kids will have a great time too. There’s also a rumor going around that the authors of the Greater Hartford Real Estate Blog may be posing as ghouls, but we’ll never tell. We hope you check it out!
