Presto, Change-O in West Hartford

Some people balk at the difference staging can make when selling a house. Well, let me tell you, I’m a believer.

I recently listed a house in West Hartford that was staged to sell. I’ll be writing a more detailed blog about the process once it closes (it just went under contract today, after 7 days on the market), but I want to give you a preview of what a difference staging can make.

This was the Dining Room of the home before staging…

And this is the Dining Room after staging…

Would you have ever guessed this was the same room? Me either!

Be on the lookout for a more extensive blog on this home, and even more before and after pictures, in the middle of June.

    Staging?

Before the bubble induced mania that was called renovating.

    Semantics. :)

Wow, I am so looking forward to your June updates on this house. We just bought a home in Wethersfield. (We re-relocated from Seattle to CT). It had one owner since 1969 (the year the home was built) and it has all original wall paper and did have some furnishings from 1969 as well that the son took to an Antique store

Do you know of any places to buy consigned/second hand furniture, a business that refinishes floors and paints home exterior. Any insight is appreciated. The closer to Wethersfield the better as we would like to support the local community.

    Wanda,

Welcome to the area! I’m going to send you an email offline to answer your recommendation questions. If you don’t receive it (please look in your spam folder), just send me an email and I’ll respond to it.

    Thanks for reading my blog!
