I think the cold weather is finally here to stay and the 10 pages of Macy’s ads in the Courant today were also a blunt reminder that the shopping season is upon us. So that means it’s time for all things holiday to begin and one of the most anticipated events of the season in the Hartford area, The Mark Twain Holiday House Tour.
For 28 years, The Friends of the Mark Twain House & Museum have been organizing a holiday tour of beautiful homes in Hartford. This year the tour takes place on Sunday, December 7th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. The cost is $30 per person if you purchase your tickets in advance, or $35 each if you buy them on the day of the event. Your ticket will allow you to tour the Mark Twain House as well as six homes throughout Hartford located on Scarbough Street, Prospect Avenue, and Elm Street. In addition to wonderful architecuture adorned by holiday decorations, each location will also feature live music.
