I don’t know about you, but we got 19 inches of snow in Hartford last Wednesday. I chronicled it here and here and here. It was a nice day to kind of lay low and then shovel out. Since then we’ve had a few more inches of snow added and we are apparently supposed to get 3″-6″ more on Friday. Sheesh, that’s a lot of shoveling. We’re at the point at our house where we’re
We received about 19″ of snow in the West End of Hartford during this storm. Not bad! Just about everyone has done their initial shovel out. Lots of neighbors helping other neighbors, which was nice to see. We realize there will be more work to do tomorrow morning after the plows come through tonight and push a lot of the snow back into the bases of the driveways. Just part of the game. By 7:00pm
These pictures were taken around 12:00pm at our house in the West End of Hartford. We measured about 16″ of non-drifted snow at that point. It’s still snowing here two hours later. The dog checking out her freshly shoveled path… Doesn’t appear to be impressed… Police driving down the street with sirens going and on their speaker telling people to get their cars off the street so the plows can do their job… Step 1
Face it, you’re not going to work today… Our dog before our morning walk, optimistic… Libby during our walk, not so happy… The road we walked… It’s still snowing here. Enjoy your day working from home, taking the day off or whatever you may be doing. And take it easy on the shoveling later today. We’ll post more pictures later as we dig out our corner lot. Ugh!
