One of the new regular post themes that got the green light for this year is something we’re calling “Weekend Plans.” The idea is to highlight some activities for the coming weekend that are either real estate related or might be of interest to a homeowner. Ideally they’ll be things that you can decide to do at the last minute, rather than having to buy tickets months in advance. We’ll also try to note common holidays so that nobody gets surprised about a 3 day weekend (unlikely) or Mother’s Day.
Before diving into our “real estate” stuff, those interested in a more thorough list of local activities might consider checking out Social Hartford. Clif is attempting to automagicly consolidate the calendars of local organizations and institutions in a single, central, place to put to rest rumors that there is nothing to do in Hartford.

BCS National Championship, 1/10/2011 at 8:30
This coming weekend is a bit on the slow side as far as real estate activities. However, on Monday, January 10th, 2011 the college football national championship will be decided at 8:30. This is an excellent opportunity to host a party! I guess you can host a party without being a homeowner, but wouldn’t your party be way better if you owned your own place? No, I’m not convinced either, renters can throw good parties too.

Before hitting the grocery store to buy your BCS National Championship Party supplies, take a few minutes to check out our open house at 212 North Beacon Street in Hartford’s West End.
