Every now and then you come across a house where the neighbors are complete animals. This fella startled me with his braying as I stood a few yards away from the barn trying to see the roof of the nearby house. I had initially thought barn was part of the property, but the seller provided a plot plan showing that the animals were on a neighboring parcel. Certainly something to factor into a bid…
In the exciting sequel to yesterday’s post, today we have another food item littering the yard. Once again it has been carefully positioned in a precarious location. The cookie is actually quite far from the trash can. It seems that our reputation as wasters has spread to the squirrels in the trees on the other side of our house too. I find this troubling – squirrels share information? Do the different squirrel colonies actively work
It’s just sitting there, right outside the window and in a place where I can see it as I wash dishes. Since we don’t make a habit of leaving crackers around, it must have been one of the squirrels who put it there. There are a couple nests in nearby trees, and we have noticed that our rodent neighbors are getting rather plump and quite daring lately. You can see our grey trash barrel in
This enterprising homeowner installed a putting green in their yard. It’s in good condition and appeared to have three holes cut when I was touring the neighboring house with some buyers. Putting greens are not a very common feature that we see advertised – I wonder if it would be a positive or a negative for a home’s value?
The other day I showed a home that had 1.1.2 bathrooms. Most buyers are familiar with the notation of a home having 1.1 bathrooms; it means that there is one full bath and one half bath. But this property had not only the 1.1 baths, but also a little something extra – a 2 seat outhouse!
