Flatbush Avenue Bridge Update

Construction crews have been busy at the Flatbush Avenue bridge site since our September update. It was an overcast day to visit, but we can still see noticeable progress. The first picture is from about the same point as last time – looking west from Newfield Avenue over the train tracks and into West Hartford. You can no longer see straight through the site. One Tank, Two Tanks

What’s worst than signs of a single in-ground oil tank? Thinking that there might be two in-ground oil tanks at the same property! I was beside myself as I saw this sight on the way into the home. Fortunately, once we got to the lower level we could see that there was actually basement space under the front porch (very unusual) and that these pipes fed the two tanks in that space. Whew!

2013 Predictions

We never made any official predictions for the 2012 real estate market.
